In the vibrant, fast-paced world of electronic music, climbing up the ladder of success often depends on more than just your talent and skill. Sometimes, you need someone in your corner, a catalyst, a person who can give you that much-needed push onto bigger stages and grander venues. That person is an agent.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the music industry was thrown into uncertainty. DJs, including Tyler, found themselves looking at empty calendars, with shows and tours canceled. But where many saw a setback, Tyler saw an opportunity.

"Why not host a comedy festival right in the critic's backyard?" Yeah, you heard me right. The Idaho Comedy Festival, a three-day laugh riot, right in Boise, as a tongue-in-cheek response to the critic.

Not only did Dani give us a good laugh, he also had brilliant ideas of revenue streams that can be applied across various industries. From comedy clubs to music festivals, restaurants to small-scale events, all event hosts and venue owners can learn a lot from Dani’s journey.

Making the move from playing local gigs to being booked for global events can feel daunting, especially as a new emerging DJ. It can feel like the “top guys” have all the right connects, and know all the right things to access these stages.

"Throughout college, I really wanted to scale up my DJ career in major cities. But since it's so difficult to have access, I threw my own parties and started my own event planning company."
