Central to Keith and Fahn’s vision was creating a space for young Black working professionals in D.C. They saw a gap in the nightlife scene where this vibrant community was often overlooked. Their events aimed to provide an inclusive and dynamic environment where young Black professionals can connect, celebrate, and feel represented.
Their first breakthrough came with a Drake-themed night at Capo Deli, recognizing that there were Drake fans nationwide provided a fail-safe theme for their first party. The spontaneous event quickly went viral and solidified their place in the local scene. Leveraging Fahn’s TikTok prowess (“Come With Me To…” style TikTok videos that explored things-to-do in D.C.), they transformed the typical club experience into something far more dynamic and inclusive.
Sold Out Dates pushed boundaries further with their audacious Summer Fling, a weekend-long celebration featuring multiple parties, including an unforgettable cruise ship event. Their genius lies in using unconventional spaces and crafting open-format dance floors, breaking away from the staid VIP sections and fostering a communal, high-energy vibe.
Despite facing challenges like securing venues and navigating industry biases, they have remained true to their vision. Looking ahead, Keith and Fahn are set on expanding their brand, with plans for large-scale music festivals that blend live performance energy with the intimate, electrifying atmosphere of their parties.
